Green Dog Rescue Project is a non-profit 501(c)3 located in Sonoma County - At Green Dog Rescue Project (GDRP), we aim to rebuild hope for homeless dogs where its been damaged or lost. To do this, we provide rescue, care and housing for dogs of all sizes and ages in a non-kennel facility, as well as medical and behavioral rehabilitation when needed. We also work with those who see a need to change an antiquated sheltering industry by providing the environment and methods to learn how to make real change. We believe that the traditional sheltering model of housing animals in cages or glass closets does not truly benefit the needs of homeless animals, and that we have a responsibility to understand dogs' basic and natural need to be part of a social pack.
