Social Media for Librarians
In this one-hour workshop, we will explore what social media is, how it works, and how you can use it to grow your library and your career. If you are new to the information profession, we will show you how to use twitter, Facebook, and other media for professional purposes. If you are an experienced professional but new to social media, we will show you how to get your feet wet in using social media, and soon you'll be swimming in the deep end.
We will address questions such as: Where do I start with social media? Isn't social media just goofing off? How do I use it professionally? What if it isn't "my thing"? But what do I DO with it?
This program is free for SLA-KWM members and $10 for nonmembers. Lunch is included!
