Salif Keita Live in Portland

On a major US tour, he and his band will perform in PDX in March after Chicago and Seattle.

His trail of musical success also earned him the title of the golden voice of Afro-pop. Salif's brand of music combines traditional West African styles with influences from both Europe and the Americas. Music instruments that are commonly featured in his work include balafons, djembes, guitars, koras, organs, saxophones and synthesizers.

We will be dancing all night with this genius of Afro-rhythms who is also a Grammy winner. His concert sold out 4 years ago when he played at the Aladdin theater here in PDX, he is bringing his full band of 12 musicians (more dance music)!!

An outstanding Portland-based band: The Spiritual Brothers (Ghana) will open the night.
