She has recorded with Linda Ronstadt, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Kate Wolf, and an endless list of performers in many genres.
Laurie Lewis's career cannot be measured with the usual commercial yardsticks. Tom Rozum's versatility and diverse musical influences come to the fore every night on stage. He plays primarily mandolin, but is also an accomplished fiddle, mandola, and guitar player. His rhythmic approach especially punctuates the repertoire and his harmony vocals add depth and expression to their repertoire and Laurie's originals. Together on stage, Tom and Laurie transport you on a wave of musicality that will fill your ears and feed your heart.
(Laurie Lewis) songs and poetic invocations of living nature are some of the most moving Ive heard. Somewhere between The Wood Thrushs Song and The Maples Lament I traversed the Red River Gorge where my family used to go camping, and recalled the joy of waking up in a canvas tent to hear my favorite music in all the world, the song of a wood thrush. Barbara Kingsolver, author of the Poisonwood Bible
"There's simply some magnificent and breathtaking music here from two of the finest singers/songwriters/instrumentalists in the known acoustic music world." - Nashville Public Radio about their duet album Guest House.
The Sacramento News called Laurie Lewis "as fine a singer as anyone on the acoustic music circuit, anywhere in the world." Billboard praised her ability to "successfully walk the high wire above esoteric country, combining elements of bluegrass and pure country to form her own seamless mix."
"Laurie is one of the pre-eminent bluegrass and Americana artists of our time. She spreads her talent over several genres - bluegrass, folk, country - and with the recognition she has within all those fields, I would certainly say she's one of the top five female artists of the last 30 years. And she continues to make great music." IMBA president Jim Hays
