Event
Precarious (Part 1)
Join HMD in an intimate farewell to a unique historic space, Klockar's Blacksmith Shop in San Francisco. Slated for conversion into a retail storefront in February 2017, the building currently houses both a working forge and the studio of artist Tracy Taylor Grubbs.
Through text, movement and music, Precarious (Part 1) will activate the space and bear witness to its rich history and uncertain future.
AUDIENCES LIMITED TO SIX PEOPLE PER SHOW.
SHOWS ON THE HOUR AT 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 PM Saturday and 7, 8, and 9 PM on Sunday.
The Sunday shows on January 29 follow artist Grubbs' last Open Studios in the building from 1-5 PM.
All proceeds go to Drawbridge, an arts program for homeless children.
Please note that this event involves standing and walking up and down steep stairs and ramps. We regret that the event is not wheelchair accessible.
Precarious (Part 2) will premiere June 2-4, co-produced with CounterPulse and in collaboration with Shaping SF Walking Tours.
Featured performers: Patrick Barnes, Suzette Sagisi, Jane Selna, Wiley Naman Strasser, Tara McArthur and Karla Quintero.
