Texas Troubadour
Come spend an evening enjoying master storyteller and singer-songwriter Bernice Lewis, one of the most-loved troubadours of folk and former Artist in Resident of the Omega Institute in New York. If you like Mary Chapin Carpenter, Joni Mitchell and Dar Williams with a spice of wry wit, you will be charmed by Bernices music. Bernice is a staple on the national folk circuit, and has shared the stage with Patty Griffin, Pete Seeger, Odetta and the Dixie Chicks. According to Rosanne Cash, Bernice is a voice full of light and hope. She is one of the keepers of the flame of Real Songwriting. Live and in concert Wednesday, December 7th at 7 pm and Sunday, December 11th at 7 pm, tickets available at the Biblioteca.
It is impossible not to have a good time listening to Lewis sing. Scott Alarik, The Boston Globe
