Chelsea in Bloom: The Secret Village
Old Chelsea is a hidden jewel that is bursting with secrets from the past. At this time of year, the area looks particularly lovely, exploding with blooms in celebration of the world famous Chelsea Flower Show. As we make our way through Chelsea, we will unlock the history of the streets, finding ourselves in beautiful, tranquil surroundings recalling a Tudor village for Kings and councillors, and a Victorian hotspot for writers, poets, artists and philosophers. We'll discuss the lives of Henry VIII, Thomas More, Catherine Parr, Hans Sloane, Christopher Wren, Thomas Carlisle, JWM Turner, James McNeill Whistler, Lord Byron, John Singer Sargent, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, George Eliot and many more. We will finish the tour at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, home of one of Britain's greatest summer experiences. If you would like to book tickets for the Chelsea Flower Show, you can do so here. The tour has been timed to coincide with the late afternoon entrance, a lovely time to visit.

*Cancellation Policy
If you cancel within a week of the event, half the cost of the tour will be refunded. If you cancel within 24 hours of the tour, we regret that we will not be able to refund any of the cost. Please note that we can only run this tour if we have an attendance of 5 people. If we have to cancel the tour we will give a week's notice.
