West Asheville Tailgate Market presents "Carribean Soul Food"
The West Asheville Tailgate Market is hosting another special market supper, a family style Carribean Soul Food party. Expect six courses of classic Caribbean cuisine using ingredients sourced from vendors at the market.
The market supper is a unique way to support the local food movement, meet the farmers that grow your food, and commune with neighbors over a fresh, local, artisan-prepared meal.
Tickets can be purchased here OR at the market's Information Booth on Tuesdays from 3:30-6:30pm.
Menu for the 'Caribbean Soul Food' feast
~ Hand Pies: meat and vegetarian
~ Callaloo soup with coconut, thyme, lime, lemon grass and cilantro
~ Sweet potato confit with crumbled sausage
~ Oxtails with cauliflower rice, pigeon peas, roasted squash and johnny cakes
~ Roasted jerked beets with goat cheese
~ Key lime pies
