CASC Celebration of Independence, Pullman Porter Blues
On October 14th, 2012, the Seattle Repertory Theatre will host the Central Area Senior Center's Celebration of Independence.
The Rep. will begin with their 50th year world premier of Pullman Porter Blues, a stage play, by Seattle resident and nationally recognized playwright Ms. Cheryl L. West. The Central will celebrate their passion for serving elders in Seattle and King County while raising funds to support the vital services they provide.
Following the performance, a reception will be held for sponsorship guest. Sponsorship for this event is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to the essential services we provide, while benefiting from hundreds of audience impressions.
We are asking the community to support our efforts as we transition into becoming an independent, self-sufficient organization. (This is a ticketless event) make your reservations today....this celebration will sell out!

About the Play
It's 1937, and three generations of porters are hard at work on the luxurious Panama Limited train. Midwest blues songs flavor their journey from Chicago to New Orleans as the porters confront dark secrets from their past and tough truths about their future together. This captivating coming of age story is woven with iconic blues music and features a live band.
