120 DINER SUNDAY CABARET SERIES: Lauren & Meredith Busteed and Chris Ning with John Pugh
LAUREN BUSTEED & MEREDITH BUSTEED and CHRIS NING with JOHN PUGH
Lauren Busteed hails from Oakville Ontario and has been fortunate enough to travel Canada, the US and internationally with her performing career. Lauren just returned home after 11 months at sea with Holland America Cruise Lines where she was featured singer/dancer in five production shows. A graduate Sheridan College's Music Theatre Performance program some of Lauren's favorite theatre credits include Anne of Green Gables (Drayton Entertainment) Nunsense (Stage West Calgary and Mississauga) Disney Cruise Lines Featured Singer/ Dancer, Tokyo Disneyland Featured Singer for Disney Parks and Special Events, Tours of Japan. Lauren also teaches youth theatre and has directed and choreographed many Jr productions, winning her Best in Choreography Award at the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta in 2015. Lauren is thrilled to be back in Canada and singing along side her best friend and sister Meredith. Happy Holidays!
Meredith Busteed is a recent graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, having made the trip across the pond to earn her Masters in Music Theatre. Theatre credits include: 9 to 5 (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Assassins; Anne Franks Tales from the Secret Annex (RCS), Broadway at the Rose; Blood Brothers (Rose Theatre Brampton), Puss in Boots (Diversified Theatre), The Mollycoddlers; Grandma and the Pirates; Up The River; The Awesome Adventures of Toad (Thousand Islands Playhouse), Waiting For Godot (Toronto Fringe Festival), Marys Wedding; Our Town; Candide (Queens Drama). She has also appeared in national commercials for Rogers Communications and is a choreographer for Momentum Dance Toronto. Meredith is thrilled to be back in Canada, drinking Tim Hortons coffee and performing alongside her sister again!
Chris Ning (Jesus (JCS), Judas (JCS), Joseph (JATTDC) and various other "J" roles.) You can catch Chris with his experimental-electro-punk band "Other Families", on his YouTube and even on Google. This performance is dedicated to all those who told him not to give up and to keep living the dream. He is thrilled to share a night with you and extremely humbled to share the stage with this immense talent.
John Pugh is a Musical Director, keyboardist, arranger/orchestrator from the Greater Toronto Area with over 17 years of experience in the performing arts. With a wide variety of knowledge in many different styles of music, John has had the opportunity to play with some of the best musicians the GTA has to offer. While the theatre is John's first passion, he has also been very involved as a freelance pianist playing for cabarets, weddings, and private/corporate events. Some of his favourite MD/keyboard credits include: Jesus Christ Superstar, The Secret Garden, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Rocky Horror Show, and RENT. He would like to thank David and the 120 Diner for this opportunity to share the stage with so many talented people.
