Urban Arts Fest
Three days of Hip Hop, Dance & Art!
Art project with renowned mural and street artist Mike Ming from the NYC art collective "Barnstormers", hip hop and break dancing workshops with dancers from GMPA (E-Knock, Calvin Walker), Boston and New York (Floor Royalty Crew, Hush Tours), MC-ing and slam poetry workshops followed by an open mic, a lecture on the history of hip hop culture, DJs, a hip hop film retrospective, a family and 18+ dance party, and last but not least, a free style dance battle.
Urban Arts Fest weekend passes are $7 (family of four $20) and allow admission to all non-preregistration events including workshops, the free style battle, dance party, most of the films and community art projects.
GMPA workshops are $15 per person per class and pre-registration is strongly recommended! www.GreenMountainPerformingArts.org
