The Red Shoes, The Shadow and Other Dark Tales by Hans Christian Andersen, adapted by Toby Hulse.
A young girl chops off her feet to rid herself of possessed shoes. A man's shadow frees itself to stalk its former owner. A soldier is haunted by three monstrous dogs. The tales of Hans Christian Andersen are dangerous, disturbing and impossible to define.
Adapted by Toby Hulse, and brought to the stage by Cheers Drive Theatre in a thrilling and theatrical mix of storytelling, physical performance, music and dance, this exploration of the darker side of the fairy tale world is not to be missed.
'I know you will go away when the match burns out. Take me with you!'
Following on from the successful run of The Government Inspector at The Alma earlier this year, graduates of the Bristol Acting Academy have formed Cheers Drive Theatre and are excited to be working with Toby Hulse again on this dynamic new adaptation.
