YUKS for Youth

Join the North Shore Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Youth (nAGLY) for an evening of food, fun, and frolics at the famous Giggles Comedy Club on Route 1 in Saugus, MA, on Thursday evening, October 27th, at 7 p.m. Your ticket price includes unlimited pizza, soda, and giggles provided by several professional comics. There will be a cash bar for more serious libations.

Funds from the evening will go directly to support nAGLY's programming, providing much-needed services and support for youth coming to terms with their sexual identities. nAGLY has been in existence for 23 years, but it was only in 2015 that they moved into their first permanent home in Museum Place in downtown Salem. This has allowed them to increase not only their services but also their hours of operation. A Middle School youth support group (only in the second in the state) has been created, as well as a transgender-specific group, and a parent/educator support group (EPiC@nAGLY). In addition, drop-in hours, workshops, leadership training and conference attendance, movie nights, and free HIV and hepatitis screenings have been added. The new space includes a library with computers and internet access, a clothing resource, a full kitchen, school and craft supplies, among other services.
