Appearing together for the first time as a triple bill, these three masters serve up a smorgasbord of fingerstyle guitar flavored with musical influences from around the world.

Grammy nominee Alex de Grassi is a leading innovator and virtuoso of acoustic guitar. The Bay Area native fuses a wide variety of guitar traditions into a highly orchestrated sound that continues to inspire a new generation of solo players. Over his 34-year career, he has drawn acclaim for both his live performances and his numerous recordings. The Wall Street Journal has called his playing "flawless." Billboard has hailed his "intricate finger-picking technique" and "uncanny gift for melodic invention." From Gershwin to Hendrix, from folk and jazz standards to shimmering originals, Alex's performances and recordings showcase a unique and powerful voice.

Franco Morone, the Italian poet of acoustic guitar, has mesmerized audiences with his technical prowess and intricate tapestry of sound for nearly 30 years. His unique arrangements and exquisite touch reinvigorate traditional Celtic and Italian melodies, and his original compositions have the evocative power to transport the listener to new and unforgettable places. "Your ears will hang on every note as he effortlessly weaves lyrical melodies into a huge finger-style texture," Guitar Player Magazine says. "Morone reminds you how truly boundless the fret board is, and although his chops are monstrous, they never distract from the music." He has just released Back to My Best, a new studio recording of his most popular pieces.

Fingerstyle guitar ace Walter Strauss draws on American roots, jazz, and world music to create his own unique sound. An accomplished composer and lyricist, he has transposed the intricate music of the kora, a 21-string West African harp, for guitar, creating mind-bending renditions of traditional African melodies as well as original compositions that feature the riffs and rhythms of West Africa. Walter has toured in duos with kora virtuoso and 2010 Grammy winner Mamadou Diabate, and with kamalʼngoni (hunterʼs harp) master Mamadou Sidibe, both of Mali. He recently travelled to Mali to cross-pollinate with some of West Africa's greatest musicians, and is currently working on a project with Sidiki Diabate, son of the legendary kora master Toumani Diabate. Maverick Magazine calls Walter a "many-layered, multi-textured, one-man folk festival."
