Basic Kitchen Skills 100: Knife work & stocks
Our 100 series is built for the cook who wants to learn more about technique. In Knife work and stocks, we will introduce you to basic and advanced knife techniques, practice basic cuts, and refine knife skills. We will use that knife work to build and discuss basic stock-making techniques. Old Salt head chef and butcher Ben Meyer will lead the class, sharing professional insight into how to be a more effective cook. Our aim is to educate and empower cooks in foundational skills in the kitchen- perfect for the beginner or advanced cook who wants to refine their skills and gain confidence through technique and practice. This is a hands on class, open to all skill levels. $50, including tools, materials, snacks and wine!
