Art Month Scavenger Hunt - Downtown Tacoma
As part of Tacoma Arts Month, compete with other teams and explore urban art and historical buildings as you wander through Antique Row, Opera Alley, Theater District and Wright Park playing this fun and interactive Scavenger Hunt game on your phone.
Be a Geeky Guru and find answers to trivia questions and strike a pose in the Cheesy Charades photo challenges (like getting eaten by a giant salmon sculpture). There's even Fun Facts/History so you can sound extra smart at your next dinner party.
Pre-register by Saturday, October 8th at 10:00 AM. No tickets will be sold at event.
When you check-in, you'll receive instructions and a code that each member can use to access the Scavenger Hunt on-line. Price is $10.00 per person ($5.00 kids 12 and under), please RSVP as a team (up to 5 people) or you can play on your own.
Schedule: 1:00 to 1:30 check-in and get scavenger hunt access code, teams able to start at 1:30 3:00 meet back at B Sharp to tally points and announce winners
The Scavenger Hunt has continued access. That means if you don't finish all the challenges, you can come back and continue exploring! If you can't make it to the event, you can still play on your own anytime. Check it out at www.exploreitnw.com
FAQs
Question: What do I bring? Answer: At least one fully charged smart phone or tablet per team with good wifi/data connection and capability to take pictures. And your silliness and sense of adventure!
Question: I'm not in super duper shape, is this an uber competition and how do we get around? Answer: It's a walking Scavenger Hunt, so wear comfortable shoes and your FitBit and get your steps in :) It will be about 1-2 miles. It depends on how competitive you are on how quick you'll move.
Question: What if it rains? Answer: If you're green and a witch, then you might be a little worried. Otherwise, dress for the weather and bring an umbrella, or an umbrella hat- those are cool.
Question: What about parking? Answer: There is paid street parking along S 7th St. You can also go down Market and enter onto St. Helens Ave (which is a one way street). On Saturdays, pay the maximum amount of $2.00 and it's good for the whole day.
