Revitalizing Older Industrial Cities: What Can the U.S. Learn from Europe?
What can we learn from Europe about how to revitalize St. Louis and other older industrial cities?  Our keynote speaker, Dr. Jörg Plöger,  is Senior Researcher at the Institute for Urban and Regional Development in Dortmund, Germany and has worked with the London School of Economics and the Brookings Institution. His research specializes in urban recovery approaches in European and American cities.  He will be joined by a panel of local speakers including Sandra Moore from Urban Strategies, Don Roe from the Planning and Urban Design Agency of St. Louis, and Bob Lewis from Development Strategies.

The panel discussion is from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by a reception from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Registration is free and includes one drink ticket.  A cash bar will be available for additional drinks.

This event is sponsored by Creating Whole Communities, the Public Policy Research Center, and Development Strategies.
