BackStory Youth Theatre presents Singin' in the Rain
From charm and romance to hilarious situations and snappy dialogue, BackStory Youth Theatre's full-length production of Singin in the Rain -- the Greatest Movie Musical of All Time -- has something for everyone.
Singin' in the Rain has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline: the starlet, the leading man, and a relationship that could change lives. In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item, but things aren't always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina's squeaky voice might be the end of her career in "talking pictures" without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.
With innovative, media-richsets, a memorable score, and a downpour of glorious songs -including Good Morning and the classic Singin in the Rain -audiences of all ages will be left singin' and dancin' in their seats!
BackStory Theatre is a Broomfield-based 501(c)(3) organization which, through its BackStory Theatre Academy and BackStory Youth Theatre, provides affordable theatre education and performance opportunities to local children, adults, and families. Building from the belief that performing arts should be an integral part of every thriving community and made possible through individual donations and generous grants (including 2015-2016 support from Broomfield Community Foundation, Broomfield Health and Human Services Department, Broomfield Arts, Culture, and Science Funding Program, and the Sheila Fortune Foundation) BackStory Theatre makes performing arts programs accessible to people from all economic backgrounds.
