The Real Inspector Hound - Theatre in the Barrel Room
"The Real Inspector Hound", written by Tom Stoppard, is a parody of the stereotypical parlor mystery in the style of Agatha Christie's "The Mousetrap". The plot follows two theatre critics named Moon and Birdboot who are watching a ludicrous setup of a country house murder mystery, in the style of a whodunit. By chance, they become involved in the action causing a series of events that parallel the play they are watching.
This will be the first production for Theatre in the Barrel Room at Hudson Street Wineries, directed by John Green with a cast of local favorites. Hudson Street Wineries is a cooperative of five, small production, boutique wineries - Bluenose, Kelley & Young, Owl Ridge, Shippey Vineyards, and Willowbrook. We will be offering wine by the glass from these award winning family wineries before the performance and at intermission. This debut performance of Theatre in the Barrel Room is a benefit fundraiser for North Sonoma County Services which helps people struggling with homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless to rebuild their lives and become integrated, contributing members of our community. Revenue from ticket sales will go to the North Sonoma County Services.
