The 35th Annual Alberta Dance Festival | Creative Intensive Open Class
Contemporary Technique Warm Up Classes
Taught by Dancers' Studio West's Artistic Director Davida Monk, these warm up technique classes combine three approaches to the dancing body: a ballet-based contemporary technique. a release technique and the principles of athletic centering and power. Participants will experience the strengthening and liberating affect of the combination of these fundamentals. In addition to providing a re-tuning of the dancing body, these classes are suitable warm-ups for rehearsal.
Percussionist Robin Tufts will accompany classes.
Dates/Times: Monday, August 29th to Friday, September 2nd from 10AM - 11AM daily.
Location: W & M Dance Projects/The Centre for Movement Arts, Bay 9, 4005 9 St. SE, Calgary.
Prices:
Single Class - $15
5 Class Pass - $65
Participants can drop-in and pay cash at the door, or purchase classes in advance online.
