Event
Naka Akira with Sugiura Norio in Baltimore, October 7-9, 2016
Please be aware of a VERY special Kinbaku event coming to Baltimore.
Last winter, Sugiura Norio (http://www.sugiuranorio.jp/e/top.html) was invited to come to Baltimore, and to our surprise he accepted.
You might not know who Sugiura Sensei is, because he is usually the man behind the camera, but you have CERTAINLY seen his work. Sugiura Sensei has been a fetish photographer in Japan since the earliest days of Kinbaku, and his work is among the most influential imagery in the history of Kinbaku. Many of the great kinbakushi have worked with him.
He is the man Sensei calls, "Sensei".
Sugiura Norio Sensei and his assistant Miho (https://twitter.com/banirapai/media) will be here to give a presentation of the visual history of the art of kinbaku (Japanese Bondage), and to teach a Master class about fetish photography and bondage.
But wait! THERE'S MORE!
Naka Akira Sensei (http://nakaakira.com/) and Shizuki Iroha (http://irohashiduki.blog.fc2.com/) will be joining Sugiura Sensei in Baltimore for this Master class kinbaku workshop.
Naka Sensei is the top rope artist working in the world today. This is an amazing opportunity by itself, as Naka Sensei is traveling less frequently these days, and this will be his only trip to the USA for the rest of this year. AND... Baltimore is his only stop. To the best of our knowledge, Naka Sensei won't be back in the USA until Fall 2017, so don't miss this rare chance to see and learn from the best of the best.
NOT just for tops Miho san and Iroha san are two of the top fetish models working in Tokyo, and their range of experience and knowledge should serve as a grand source of information for aspiring bondage models.
Details The date is set, so mark your calendar and start making your travel plans! We intend to follow a format similar to our past workshops with private lessons on Friday and Monday, a performance and play party on Friday night, and workshop time for 10-15 couples on Saturday and Sunday (Lunch will be provided). Translators will be available for the lessons and the workshops.
The Friday party is scheduled to include a performance by Naka Sensei and Iroha san, and a presentation on the history of Kinbaku in Japan by Sugiura Sensei. This presentation will focus on some of the most important points, with more detailed presentations being shared during the workshop on Saturday and Sunday.
The workshop will include photographic topics like lighting and composition, as well as Naka Sensei's unique style of Kinbaku.
The workshop format will be "Master class", where in addition to some patterns being presented, students will be asked to tie, and the Masters will provide feedback. For this reason, the event will be strictly limited to couples with significant experience in Kinbaku, who are seeking to benefit from the growth opportunity afforded by this format.
PLEASE NOTE In recent years, we have seen other workshops run into unforeseen circumstances that cause difficult situations. While we do everything we can to button down all the details, be aware that all workshops may be cancelled or changed without prior notice due to uncontrolled factors (like weather and/or family matters). In the event of cancellation more than 30 days prior to the event, refunds will be given, subject to a fee. No refunds will be given on cancellation within 30 days of the scheduled workshop date.
