Drumsong: The Art and Spirit of Drumming
The Women's Drum Center presents a 2 day weekend workshop with nationally acclaimed drummer, performer, teacher, visual artist and recording artist Ubaka Hill. Participants will learn complete drum songs based on various cultural rhythmic styles and will experience the spirit of drumming through the unifying effect of community drumming. Also, workshop participants will be able to purchase a discounted concert ticket for $10 at the workshop.
Workshop dates and times are:
Friday Aug. 24th, 6:30-9:00 pm
Saturday Aug. 25th, 9:30-1:30 pm
