"Mesmerizing, whether in English, Japanese, French Join multi-lingual jazz vocalist Allison Adams Tucker for a night of global music, dancers, and visual imagery - a veritable travel memoir of the senses, as she celebrates the release of her third album WANDERlust, recorded in NYC under the direction of award-winning producer Matt Pierson (Brad Mehldau, Jane Monheit) and featuring a stunning all-star ensemble. WANDERlust journeys into new territory with jazz inspired songs that span countries and genres in 6 languages with music from Björk and Christina Perri to Astor Piazzolla, Pat Metheny and Jobim to Ennio Morricone, and even ancient Japanese folk songs.
Allison's voice can be heard on national jingles and video games, and her interpretation of "La Vie En Rose" is one to the top downloads worldwide. She performs regularly in Japan, Europe, Mexico and around the US, and is joined by a world-class group for her San Diego release show, including Los Angeles musicians Josh Nelson piano (also WANDERlust arranger/pianist), Edwin Livingston bass, Dan Schnelle drums, and San Diego's own Peter Sprague guitar and David Burnett bass clarinet/tenor sax.
