Biodynamic Roundtable
Biodynamics is the most sustainable method of farming. Created in the 1920's by Rudolf Steiner as a way to heal the earth and re-introduce vital nutrients to our food supply, Biodynamics sees the farm as a holistic, self-sustaining entity, producing the highest-quality and healthiest crops.
Join us for this one-of-a-kind event where Esquire Magazine's "Chef of the Year 2010," Sean Baker, of Gather Restaurant in Berkeley will specially create six innovative dishes to pair with two white, and four red, top-shelf Biodynamic wines from Ehlers and Grgich Hills Estates of Napa Valley.
Ivo Jeramaz of Grgich Hills and Kevin Morrisey of Ehlers Estate will be on hand to discuss the wines as they relate to Biodynamics. Gena Nonini of Marian Farms will be on hand to discuss her Biodynamically produced Brandy, which will be served afterwords whilst we mingle amongst ourselves.
After registration attendees will receive a packet giving a history of Biodynamics, information on the entities involved, as well as resources for exploring Biodynamics on their own.
