F***k yeah!
Join improvisers and teaching artists Natasha Ransom and Luke Chmura for a workshop on Saturday, July 2 from 12:00 - 3:00pm. We'll focus on committing physically and emotionally to character work, finding the childlike joy in playing onstage, and transferring a "f***k yeah!" attitude to your life. We will combine the best of our backgrounds at Jet City Improv and Unexpected Productions to give you new tools and techniques.
About the instructors: Natasha Ransom is a Seattle native who graduated from Santa Clara University with a BA in Theatre Arts. She has been improvising, writing/performing sketch comedy, and teaching for over 10 years. You may have seen her onstage as a Jet City Improv company member, or in Adventure Playhouse, The Explorers Club, Twisted Flicks, Goin' Steady, Tall Tales, Funbucket, or What If. She is also one half of the improv duo FEELINGS with Kinzie Shaw, performing at Bumbershoot this fall!
Working as an improvisor in Bellingham since 2006, Luke Chmura joined the Unexpected Productions ensemble in 2012. Very excited to be a part of a theater with a long history, Luke loves performing with the many talented people at Unexpected productions. Telling stories, playing characters, connecting with others, and making people laugh are what drives him towards furthering improv theater horizons. He has been in a few regional commercials, and some web videos. In his free time, Luke likes watching films. Silent films, early comedies, noir and westerns from the 40's and 50's, action and comedies from the 80's and 90's, as well as the big budget "junk food" of today.
