Take in Seattle's spectacular fall colors while enjoying a weekend of friendship, connection and milonguero-style dancing.

THE VENUE:

A charming, turn-of-the-century ballroom located in Seattle's historic Capitol Hill neighborhood.

FRIDAY, October 21

7:00-8:00 ~ Meet & Greet
   
8:00-midnight ~ Welcome Milonga with DJ Jeanne Castle (Seattle)
    Food: Empanadas, snacks, sweets, wine and non-alcoholic                                  
          beverages

SATURDAY, October 22

noon-3:00 ~ Matinee Milonga with DJ Vincent "The Llama" Lam (Vancouver)
    Food: Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages

5:00-8:00 ~ Dine Around Capitol Hill (CHECK EMAIL FOR DETAILS)

8:00-midnight ~ Grand Milonga with DJ Robert Hauk (Portland)
    Food: Dessert buffet, light snacks, wine and non-alcoholic
          beverages

SUNDAY, October 23

10:00-noon ~ Brunch Service
    Food: Hearty traditional breakfast favorites plus  
          fruit, yogurt and other lighter options; mimosas,
          juice and other non-alcoholic beverages

11:00-2:00 ~ Brunch Milonga with DJ Vivian Konstantakos (Seattle)

6:00-10:00 ~ Milonga Abrazos with DJ Christopher Nassopoulos (Mill Valley, CA)
    Food: Light dinner buffet and desserts; wine and non-
          alcoholic beverages

THE CÓDIGOS:

To meet the expectations of our guests and preserve the integrity of the Encuentro, upholding the traditional códigos of social dancing is essential.

All milongas will be organized to support the use of the cabeceo as the primary method of invitation.

It is assumed that all participants have practiced knowledge of the códigos, and will respect the line of dance and their fellow milongueros.


REFUND POLICY:

1) After September 15, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis if the pass can be transferred to another dancer of the same role on our waiting list.

2) Pass transfers to another dancer ARE NOT PERMITTED without written permission from the organizers! Priority must be given to our waiting list of dancers.

TRANSPORTATION & PARKING:

Coming from out of town? No need to rent a car! If you are staying near the venue, fly into SeaTac Airport and simply take the Link Light Rail (for less than $3) from the airport to Capitol Hill (a scenic, 45-minute journey).

Take an Uber! Usually cheaper than a taxi, Seattle is Uber-friendly with plenty of drivers in the area to get you from door to door. If you aren't familiar with Uber, sign up and get a credit toward your first ride: https://get.uber.com/invite/amya31

Capitol Hill is a very walkable neighborhood. It also has a new street car line that can take you all the way to historic Pioneer Square as well as convenient bus service to other area attractions.

If you do plan on driving to the venue, metered street parking is free after 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday and all day on Sunday. Two convenient paid parking lots are also located adjacent to the venue.


DINE AROUND CAPITOL HILL:

Saturday evening dinner groups will comprise of 6-10 tangueros.
The cost of dinner is NOT included in your weekend pass. If you have not received your invitation to registered for the dine-around, please email us.
