Fertile GroundWorks' Taste for Giving
Spend a summer evening at our beautiful garden got Fertile GroundWorks' fourth annual 'Taste for Giving' fundraiser!
DATE: Saturday August 20, 2016
TIME: 4 pm to 7 pm
PLACE: Garden of Grace at 4743 East Avenue, Livermore
TICKETS:$25 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Buy online until midnight Friday August 19th, remaining tickets for sale at the event.
Enjoy community camaraderie, activities for all ages, and delicious garden-fresh treats and dinner. Participate in a silent auction with a wide variety of goodies.
Help support Fertile GroundWorks' mission -- teaching sustainable gardening to individuals and communities, allowing them to grow nutritious food for themselves, and ensure everyone has access to fresh healthy food.
Plenty of parking is available at AsburyUnited Methodist Church.

Since 2010, we have grown and harvested more than 60,000 pounds of produce, which has been given to Open Heart Kitchen, our community's food pantries and our elderly neighbors. Our wonderful volunteers learn about sustainable gardening while donating more than 6,500 hours in our garden.
Fertile GroundWorks also champions and facilitates the creation of new community/institutional gardens. Fertile GroundWorks' volunteers have helped establish gardens at three high schools for their Agricultural Science and Culinary Arts programs, five elementary schools for their science programs and at two churches to help them provide food for their neighbors. Additionally Fertile GroundWorks created an historic kitchen garden at Livermore's Hagemann Ranch. All produce grown there is given to school-based food pantries.
