Brewers Dinner Series No. 1: Peter Hoey
After the awesome time we had at our Russian River Beer Dinner back in October of last year, we all got to talking and thought, "This was so much fun, why can't we do this every month?" We've been brainstorming and planning since then, and we're finally ready to kick this into gear. We are proud to present the first in our monthly series of Brewers Dinners, where we host brewmasters and brewers from some of our favorite breweries who have been influential to us and to the craft beer community at large. The Pangaea Crew will be hosting these dinners the second Monday of every month.
Our first brewer, Peter Hoey, is a great friend of Pangaea, and we could not be more honored to host such an amazing brewer and all around jewel to the beer world. Although he does not have a brewery at the moment, he just finished a collaborative series of beers with various to celebrate his time at Sacramento Brewing. He had a long career with many different breweries and his impact is still felt all over the brewing community. His most recent brewery, Odonata, crafted some of the best Belgian-style beers Sacramento has ever tasted. Peter will walk us through his journey in brewing, from his start at Sacramento Brewing at the age of 19, to his most recent job at Brewers Supply Group, working directly with and sharing his knowledge with brewmasters all over the world. We'll be pouring some of the beers that inspired him (TBA) in an informal, laid back environment accompanied by pub grub from Chef Brett.
