Join the Kirkwood Parks Assistance Corps (KPAC) removing bush honeysuckle from Kirkwood Park. Volunteers will be working along the Girl Scouts Bird Sanctuary trail. This invasive plant has taken over the wooded area along the trail preventing growth of native plants and small trees. Volunteers use handsaws or loppers to cut down bushes. Some hand tools and safety equipment is available to use but you are encouraged to bring your own favorite honeysuckle removal hand tools. Refreshments are provided throughout the event.
This event requires registration to ensure enough refreshments are available. Please RSVP by Friday, May 27th.
