Event
Handel House
Tucked away in the backstreets of Mayfair, this beautifully preserved Georgian house is an off-the-beaten-track jewel. Well start with a tour of house, learning about Handels music, his patrons, the social history of progressive Georgian London, his relationship with the Foundling Museum and how his groundbreaking, stirring music had the power to move all sections of London society. Well finish the afternoon with a private harpsichord concert of Handels music. This extremely special concert will be played out in the room Handel regularly rehearsed in, and Londons most talented young harpsichord player of today will be our performer.
