The Naked Truth: Freud and Surrealism
Disgust, contempt, disappointment. This is how artists in Europe at the turn of the 20th century felt about the world that surrounded them. Appalled by the atrocities of WW1, artists rejected hope and idealism in favor or anarchy and senselessness. From this mood Dada and Surrealism was born. Finding resonance within the discoveries of Sigmund Freud, the surrealist delved into the murky depths of the human subconscious. There they discovered worlds littered with symbols of sex, desolation and unresolved desire. *If you have bought more than one Art Shot ticket you can Either split them up and come on a number of different Art Shots Or you can give tickets to friends to join the same Art Shot as you Please email info@arthistoryuk.com to tell us how you'd like to use your Art Shot tickets.
