WRF Course Info
Wilderness Leadership Institute (WLI) medical courses take you well beyond traditional first aid and CPR classes. They are comprehensive emergency medical trainings that impart understanding and competency. We emphasize critical thinking and the principles behind the medical procedures. WLI facilitates Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA) courses, the leading provider of wilderness medicine curriculum, including the Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Certification. Their certifications are recognized internationally as the highest standard in wilderness emergency care.
Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Certification is the definitive course in medical training for outdoor educators, guides, SAR team members, and others. This 5-day format is for individuals who have less time available for on-site training. Students must register at least two weeks before the course start date, and all students must complete all pre-course work prior to arrival on course.
Prerequisites:
No previous first aid training is required.
You must be 16 years old to attend this course.
