Conversations with Heavenly Mother: An Uncommon Diva
Just in time for Mother's Day! "Fales knows how to sell it!"--New York Times
Mrs. God, the First of Wife of Heavenly Father, tells her fascinating true story in this outrageous new solo comedy "Conversations with Heavenly Mother: An Uncommon Diva" by internationally acclaimed solo performance artist Steven Fales. Please come to this fully-costumed staged reading of a what is destined to become an iconic new character for Mormondom and beyond. At the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown Salt Lake City on Fri, May 6th at 7:30pm.
Heavenly Mother and Her Husband weren't always Mormon you know. As She pours tea and holds court and for the first time tells "herstory" and shares intimately about her own evolution as the Female Face of God. She's actually considering getting back together with Heavenly Father. Could she ever return to Kolob? She spills secrets on everything from Hollywood to Joseph Smith and all kinds of Big Love in between. She tells us how it was, how it is . . . and how it's going to be . . . especially now that she's kicked her opiate pain killers for good.
It's a new Heavenly Mother like you've never seen her before and channeled by the only "Mormon Boy" She trusts to do her justice. Charles Busch wasn't available.
Steven Fales is the writer/performer of "Confessions of a Mormon Boy", "Missionary Position", "Prodigal Dad", "Mormon American Princess", "My Mormon Valentine", "Cult Model" and other highly acclaimed solo projects.
Much, much more to come!
