Antioch Drama Institute: Alive Together - Intergenerational Creativity (10 CE credits)
Presenters: Jen Kulik, PhD; Bobbi Kidder, MA, RDT/BCT Credits: 10 CE credits Dates/Times: July 29, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; July 30, 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Due to the changing technological landscape, the generation gap seems larger than ever. How can the arts serve as a tool to bridge these gaps, reconnect communities, and strengthen participants self-concepts?
This course will explore these questions by modeling and sharing strategies on how to create, facilitate, and evaluate therapeutic arts-based intergenerational programs. Participants will witness a performance of Silver Kites Intergenerational Theatre Company, participate in and create activities for an intergenerational audience, discuss sustainability and ethical challenges in creating the work, and leave the workshop with a list of resources to further develop their practice in the field.
