Event
Crates of Thunder
This play was researched and developed in conjunction with the Northwest Schools 7th Grade Humanities Class study of WWII and the 8th Air Force along with oral histories conducted by the American Air Museum, Duxford. It is an exploration of the era through the lens of the warplane: the children and villagers whose lives were forever changed by the bombs dropped by the enemy, the women and men who built the planes, the men and women who flew them, and the ad hoc communities of people from very disparate cultures created on both sides of the Atlantic to fuel and win the war.
The production features 12 actors, aged 13-18, plus one hard working and highly capable stage manager.
