One of Californias most respected viticulturists and winemakers, Steve Matthiasson is a leading figure among Californias new wave of wine producers. In addition to working with Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, he grows and bottles several Italian varietals, which he believes are very well suited to his vineyard in Napa Valley. In addition to Matthiasson Wines, he is one of the most in demand vineyard consultants, having shepherded some of the top properties to sustainable and organic practices.
Ive been hoping to have him in for a while and am thrilled he can make it this Monday.
