Kick off the weekend by meeting new people and trying something new, all while sipping your favorite beverage. At Ballroom Dance Chicago, every Friday night offers an opportunity to connect with friends old and new by learning to dance together. The evening starts with an introductory class so beginners can gain confidence, while more experienced dancers can expect to learn new moves. After that, the floor is all yours to dance the night away! Come solo or bring a friend and feel free to BYOB!
What: An introductory class, followed by social dancing. Each week will be a different style of dance (to recur monthly); see the calendar below.
When: 9pm - 11pm at the Lakeview studio: 4039B N Ravenswood Ave. If you cant make it to the class, feel free to drop in around 10pm for the social.
Admission: $20 per person, $10 for college students with valid ID, $10 for BDC students
What to bring:
+ Clean, dry shoes to dance in
+ Wine or beer to drink if 21+ (Limit one bottle of wine or one 6-pack of beer per 2 people. Liquor is not permitted.)

April 1st-
1st Fridays of the month: Ballroom Dance Night
Dance to the sounds of old standards like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Nat King Cole.
Class: Waltz and Foxtrot
(Social music includes Waltz, Foxtrot & Triple Swing)
April 8th-
2nd Fridays: Latin Dance Night
Spice up your second Fridays and make your dreams of learning salsa a reality.
Class: Salsa and either Bachata, ChaCha, or Rumba
(Social music includes Salsa, ChaCha, Bachata & Rumba)
April 15th-
3rd Fridays: Swing Dance Night
No crazy flips here! Just some grooving to the music of Artie Shaw and Glenn Miller, among others.
Class: East Coast Swing
(Social music includes East Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Charleston, Triple Swing)
April 22nd-
4th Fridays: Social Dance Night
Groove, sway, and spin with your partner to your favorite radio songs. Practice your whip, nae nae, and all your other popular social dances needed to feel good dancing at weddings, bars, and other social settings.
Class: Basic Partner Social Dancing
(Social music includes Smooth Swing, Hustle & West Coast Swing)
