Nova Vocal Ensemble presents A Fantasy
A Fantasy is a little different from the typical choral concert. Using dancers, singers, ancient and modern texts, and, of course, the choral music of our time, Nova will present a uniquely crafted choral narrative in the tradition of the great myths, epics, and fairy tales weve all come to know and cherish.
Youll get to meet Charlie, a prince on a quest to regain his kingdom from a terrifying dragon, and Whisper, the mystic maiden who wins Charlies heart and who may be the key to saving a world encased in ice. With a story written by Nova singers Sharon Goldstein and Luis Antonio Gonzalez, this concert will feature world premiere choral pieces by two of Novas singers, bass-baritone Dylan Carson and composer-in-residence and alto Amy Gordon.
