The Seattle Storytellers Guild presents Earth Day Storytelling 2016. Celebrate Earth Day with featured storytellers Johnny Moses (Tulalip), Rebecca Hom from Shelton, and Blake Shelafoe (Duwamish). Stories are the language of the heart and imagination, and can speak to us in powerful ways. This FREE, family-friendly event will again be held at the beautiful Duwamish Longhouse and Cultural Center in West Seattle on Sunday, April 24, 2016, 2 pm to 4 pm, 4705 W Marginal Way SW, Seattle, WA 98106. Donations welcome. Refreshments provided. James Rasmussen of the Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition / Technical Advisory Group, will also speak to us about efforts to bring about the healing of the Duwamish River, a federally designated toxic superfund site. We'll have a few additional surprises, too. Don't miss it. Bring your dreams. Bring your friends. They will be glad you did. Made possible in part by an Opportunity Grant from Humanities Washington, the cooperation of The Duwamish Tribe, and other friends of the Seattle Storytellers Guild. Mark your calendars. See you there!
