A Night in Towanda
Three vaudevillians have arrived in Towanda to premiere their new show! They can't wait to show off their juggling, music, magic, and more. But there is a complication: their truck broke down on the way and they had to leave it behind along with most of their props. They hitchhiked and have arrived moments before show time with what few props they could carry. Not to worry though, they've been in touch with Ralph, the custodian at the American Legion Hall, who has promised to round up replacements for their lost props. The show must go on!
FLOWER CITY VAUDEVILLE features the prodigious musical talents of Ward Hartenstein, the silent clowning skills of Richard Hughson, and the object manipulation artistry of Ted Baumhauer. Their shows bring back the beautiful bygone days of variety entertainment with a mix of comedy, old time radio mystery, musical interludes, and daring feats with knives and whips.
Their shows have been a family favorite at the Rochester Fringe Festival since 2012. At the 2015 Ithaca Fringe Festival we won the Andrew D. Dixon Award with our latest show.
