Mohawk Singers and Dancers - Tribal Stomp
On Memorial Day, Theatre of Yugen presents a late afternoon performance by Mohawk singers and dancers. Tribal Stomp will include a tribute to the memory of the passenger pigeon; a once ubiquitous bird in the United States until it was hunted to extinction. When Europeans first arrived in America, passenger pigeons numbered in the billions. Within 300 years they were extinct. This presentation by a talented group of Mohawk artists serves as a beautiful and moving tribute to the memory of all that has been lost in our efforts to progress.
Join us at NOHspace on Monday, May 28, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., for this dynamic event that will be both entertaining and educational for the entire family.
