The goal is to limit liability and make sure your building and its occupants are not vulnerable to the hazards of fire, smoke, and heat transfer.

2. Define industry standard fire barrier types, ratings, and testing protocols.
3. Indentify proper barrier detailing of common building conditions.
4. Distinguish good barrier installation from those that increase vulnerabilities.
5. Examine system failure causes and their remedies.
