Fundraising Guest Ticket for Red, Black and GREEN:a blues
GroundUP Organics as special community partner will be selling tickets for Red Black and GREEN:a blues, presented by CD Forum, Seattle Art Museum and Seattle Center Next 50.
A portion of the proceeds for these special ticket sales will benefit GroundUP Organics, an urban ecology, food justice and leadership program for youth ages 14-19, who learn about the soil, themselves and the community around them.
Marc Bamuthi Joseph's newest multi-disciplinary project layers poetic text, dance, music and film to jumpstart a conversation about environmental racism, social ecology and collective responsibility in the climate change era. Designed as a performance as well as an interactive on-stage installation by visual artist Theaster Gates, Joseph is joined by an ensemble cast directed by Cornerstone Theater's Michael John Garcés, red, black and GREEN: a blues has been developed during a three-year community-based civic and creative process and strives to unite communities around a broader definition of sustainable living.
