Ruth is a much-beloved member of the Los Angeles non-profit community.
After 14 years in the banking sector, she entered the field of arts management in 1991 as the managing director of the Lewitzky Dance Company. She then became executive director of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, where she remained for over 11 years, and she recently ended her tenure as executive director of the Colburn Foundation after more than seven years. She is a nationally recognized leader in arts management and a revered mentor to other national leaders in arts and education.
