Parent Seminar: "Screen Time: Helping Families Navigate the Tech World" with Jason Brand
Do you want to gain a better understanding of when and how to introduce new technology, define your familys technological values, and discuss smart limits"? For this generation, digital dilemmas start early. Its challenging to know how to support children's social, physiological and emotional needs of kids when so much of their attention is directed toward the digital screen.
Jason Brand, LCSW, a therapist in Berkeley, provides support to families in a world where digital technologies are transforming our lives. His book, 1 to 1 at Home: A Parents Guide to School-Issued Laptops and Tablets is a practical guide to integrating new technologies into family life. He works in schools and organizations and in his private practice counsels families with children and adolescents.
This program generously supported by the Jewish Federation of the East Bay's Sprout Initiative: Helping Jewish families grow together. This program is a part of the JCC East Bay's TIPS for Families Programs: Toddler, Infant, and Parenting Series.
