Is there anything new happening this year?
Why, yes, there is! We will be introducing a new Homebrew Court at this summer's Microbrew & Music Festival. We invite homebrewers to serve the masses and vie for the Tasters' Choice Award. Here's the info:
Tasters' Choice Homebrew Competition
Where: Traverse City Summer Microbrew & Music Festival at the Village at Grand Traverse Commons
When: Saturday, August 25, 2012
What: Festival attendees will be given 9 free taste tokens to try a small sample of each homebrew. At the end of their tasting they will choose their favorite among all the homebrews. The top five homebrews will then be tasted and judged by 4 attending festival brewers. The homebrews will also be tasted by 2 Michigan Hop Alliance officials. The 6 judges will choose their favorite beer and will award the winner as the Tasters' Choice Homebrew Champion as well as a prize (to be announced).
Space is limited! Only 20 homebrewers will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis. You are asked to bring at least 5 gallons of your best homebrew flavor as well as a growler for the final judging. Also required is your best and most positive attitude  this is designed to excite and educate folks about homebrewing!

What if it rains?
The Microbrew & Music Festival is a RAIN OR SHINEevent! Keep an eye on that weather forecast and please come prepared for whatever weather mother nature brings!

How do I get there?
The entrance to The Village at Grand Traverse Commons is located at the intersection of South Division and West 11th Street (please use caution when using this busy intersection as it does not have a traffic light). Walking, riding bikes, carpooling and use of shuttles is HIGHLY encouraged. Shuttles will be transporting attendees between the Old Town Parking Deck and The Village during the hours of the festival. Limited parking is available on-site. Coming from out-of-town? Book your hotel room now!

Please  no infants, no toddlers, no kids, no teens, nor anyone else under the age of 21. No pets, no glass, no growlers, no outside food or beverage (water in a sealed bottle is OK), no weapons, no contraband, no bad attitudes. The Traverse City Microbrew & Music Festival is strictly an "Ages 21+" event. Violators will be asked to leave. Porterhouse Productions reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove anyone from the event, at their discretion.
