WTS February Lunch Program: Data Driven
Please join the WTS Puget Sound Chapter as we welcome a panel of speakers who understands how data is currently influencing our transportation decisions and how it will continue to do so in the future. The panelists will focus on how data is collected and fused to influence travel choices in real time. Our panel includes:

Opening Remarks: Scott Kubly, Director of Seattle Department of Transportation - Data and the Smart City
Ian Sproul, Steer Davies Gleave - "You" Data: Applying what we know about you
Sohier Hall, LUUM - Eschew Data: Real time "transport personal trainer"
Daniel Benhamou, Acyclica - Brew Data: Creating new data all around us
Myca Craven, INRIX - Grew Data: The great short history of data collection
Moderator: Jeanne Acutanza, Transpo Group

At the lunch, you'll also have a chance to eat and network with our speakers and other transportation professionals.

When: Wednesday, February 24, 11:30am-1:00pm
Where: Puget Sound Regional Council
1011 Western Avenue Ste. 500
Seattle, WA 98104

Cost: $12 for public agency staff, $17 for WTS members and $22 for non-members (plus Brown Paper Tickets service fee). Ticket price includes the cost of lunch. Please RSVP by purchasing your ticket through Brown Paper Tickets no later than February 22, 2016.

Please contact Kelly Cheeseman at with any questions.

Let's Embrace Diversity!
To highlight diversity in Transportation, WTS Puget Sound is pleased to announce the 2016 WTS Embrace Diversity campaign. The challenge will begin at the January 2016 program in Tacoma and will continue at each monthly program through June 2016. During this time, we invite our members to add diversity to our monthly lunch programs by bringing an eligible guest, which is someone who works in transportation in a different discipline or role than that of the WTS member. Each participating member and guest will be entered to win a $10 Starbucks gift card; the winning team will be announced at the end of each program. To learn more about the campaign and additional incentives, please contact Josephine Bayan at or Amanda Thom at
