To experience a culture one must experience their cuisine and since New York is the melting pot of the world, its vast array of cuisines is its shared culture. Food on Foot Tours takes visitors beyond the tourist attractions to the largest buffet in the world, New York. You'll see the neighborhoods where New Yorkers live and eat. You'll share our passion for all things New York and you'll travel the way New Yorkers do, by subway and/or foot on a private small group tour led by a new friend in NY. ABOUT THE FOOD ON FOOT TOUR: Our tour is a QUALITY FRESH FOOD EATING TOUR. It is NOT a sampling, gourmet or food preparation and information tour. YOU PURCHASE YOUR OWN FOOD (most people average $15-$20 for food on the tour and the tour will replace a meal) AND METROCARD (subway pass, if needed) and since this is first and foremost an eating tour we want you to experience the city and its eateries the same way New Yorkers do. We are an eating tour with some neighborhood history and NOT a history tour with food. Each stop is can be a surprise or we can set an itinerary but you are not obligated to purchase items at any location. There are usually many choices at each location. Please remember our tour may include the subway (most NY subway stations are not handicapped accessible) and plenty of walking. If you are handicapped please call us to find out how we might be able to accommodate you. Tours are rain or shine.
Meeting point can be determined after booking. Time can be changed once booking is confirmed based on the availability for the same day.
