Miss Ruby's Beauty School- BROOKLY, NY
Thank you for your interest in my upcoming vintage hairstyling class! As a vintage style hairdresser, makeup artist and model, teaching is where my true passion is! I became enthralled with the vintage lifestyle at a young age, learning as much as I could about vintage clothing and hairstyling. Many years of practicing the art of vintage glamour came before my professional career began so many years ago. I now have more than ten years of professional experience behind the chair, working on photo shoots, fashion shows, movies, television, weddings, special events and teaching. When I'm not working on clients I am constantly creating new online tutorials for my YouTube channel, youtube.com/missrockabillyruby, and hosting live sessions on my Periscope channel (@missrockabillyruby) where users can interact with me live during tutorials! I am so excited to share all of my secret tips and tricks with all of my students! I will be guest teaching at the Brooklyn Pinup School in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday April 2nd from 1-4pm, located at 635 Lorimer Street, Brooklyn NY 11211 (between Skillman and Jackson). The Brooklyn Pinup School is only a couple blocks from the subway - take the G train to Metropolitan, or the L train to Lorimer.
I will be demonstrating several different vintage hairstyles, setting techniques, proper comb out and product knowledge. You will be able to get up close and personal as I style, you can ask questions and take photos. Taking video is prohibited in my classes but feel free to take as many photos as you want. You will not be required to bring a model or any tools with you to the class, I will have everything you need to see and show you how everything works. Please bring a notebook and pen with you to takes notes along the way, I will also have helpful handouts with photos and diagrams that you will be able to take home with you for future reference. You do not need to be a professional hairdresser in order to take this class, everyone is welcome! :)
Upon completing the class you will receive a Miss Ruby's Beauty School Certificate! I will also have a few other surprises and giveaways from some of my favorite brands to present throughout the class!
Immediately following the class Slapback will be hosting a VIP shopping and meet and greet with me at their location just around the corner from the class! Come have drinks and chat with me while we try on the cutest clothes in NYC!
