Create Dangerously: Final Performance
"I am even more certain that to create dangerously is also to create fearlessly, boldly embracing the public & private terrors that would silence us, then bravely moving forward even when it feels as though we are chasing or being chased by ghosts." -Edwidge Danticat, from Create Dangerously: The Immigrant Artist at Work (2010)
Over the past 10 weeks, members of JACK's performance lab facilitated by Virginia Grise & Kyla Searle have been exploring what it means to create dangerously during dangerous times. Join us in a celebration of their words, their work, their danger.
Performance offerings by: sara abdullah, Nijae Draine, Yadira De La Riva, Lanxing Fu, Oceana James, Jessica Lanay, Molly Beach Murphy, andrea negrete, Kelly Erin Sloan, Melisa Tien, Kirya Yvonne Traber, rene valdez & Kiki Williams.
